I saw a report on this last night. If you get HBO, please check out "Vice News Tonight" and the series "Vice".
We may be on the verge of left/right migration to the state of our choice, hopefully without shots ever being fired.
Our mission is to help Conservative families move to Conservative areas of America

(8,890 posts)HBO just released a statement confirming that Game of Thrones producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are already in development on their next series for the network, Confederate. Damn if it isnt ever the hottest hot potato ever to come down the premium-cable pike.
The statement reads: Confederate chronicles the events leading to the Third American Civil War. The series takes place in an alternate timeline, where the southern states have successfully seceded from the Union, giving rise to a nation in which slavery remains legal and has evolved into a modern institution. The story follows a broad swath of characters on both sides of the Mason-Dixon Demilitarized Zone freedom fighters, slave hunters, politicians, abolitionists, journalists, the executives of a slave-holding conglomerate and the families of people in their thrall.
Got feelings? We know youve got feelings. Indeed, everybody in America is bound to get up in their feelings about this one.
Its enough to say that, 152 years after its legal abolition, slavery still remains controversial in the United States with various persons some of them holding elected office defending the practice. The secession of the South, as well, is still being ahistorically recast as a more well-mannered philosophical disagreement over the conflicting agendas of state and federal governments that somehow accidentally wound up sparking the bloodiest conflict in our nations bloody history. Men in cargo shorts are still defending Confederate monuments. The National Confederate Museum will open its doors soon.

(8,890 posts)The team behind the wildly popular HBO series Game of Thrones have had to speak out on their proposed alt-history series where slavery would still exist, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Earlier in the week, GoT showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss announced their next project, Confederate, which would create a world during a third American Civil War where the Southern states have successfully seceded from the Union and slavery remains.
The project was immediately criticized, with both producers being white and creating a world where slavery exists, and Brenioff saying the attacks are premature.
Its just a little premature, Benioff said in his defense. You know, we might f*ck it up. But we havent yet.
In their defense, the GoT team put forth the African-American husband-and-wife team Malcolm and Nichelle Tramble Spellman who will be serving as executive producers on the proposed show that is still more than a year off from appearing on TV.

(8,890 posts)Would you go to war against your fellow Americans to show your support for President Donald Trump? For the last several months, thats exactly what broadcaster Alex Jonesa favorite of the presidenthas been calling for.
In his radio show, on YouTube and on his Infowars website, Joneswho never met a conspiracy theory he didnt like and who has pushed the notion that Sandy Hook was fakedhas been announcing that the United States is on the verge of a bloody second civil war. Like the radio DJs in Rwanda, Jones has been egging on his conservative listeners and viewersan estimated 2.7 million people monthlyto kill more liberal fellow citizens over their political differences.
