I think the reason Trump Jr had the arrogance not to reveal all about that mtg...he knows he's safe.

It is so stupid for Trump Jr. to have released emails and gone on nat'l tv and said "that's it, that's all," and lie about the mtg for the 4th time, and not state there were others there...that I find it unbelievable he thought he could do that and get away with it. That it wouldn't be discovered.

So why would he do that? I think the reason may be that he knows some powerful people in Congress (not to mention Dad) have his back. I thought he didn't think it'd get much attention from Mueller because he thought that technically, it wasn't illegal. So all he had to worry about was some sort of ethics violation or public disapproval. In that respect, he knew he had powerful people who would protect him.

I think that because I don't think he'd be soooo stupid as to think he'd get away with lying about it again, after the several lies before, which had been discovered. He's 39 years old and is in charge of the Trump organization. He's not a kid or naive. He's traveled the globe wheeling & dealing for many years...meeting with VIPs of other countries, handling contracts. He's not stupid.

It's hard to believe that somebody would do something because you would never think they were so colossally stupid to think they could get away with it. But they do.

4. Jr failed to realize there was audio documentation of the meeting. By allowing Jr to establish the

initial narrative (in response to a general, non-detailed story about the meeting) jr effectively screwed himself .... or actually *45 & team screwed Jr with the "adoption" bs.

Everything jr did from that point forward was frantic, reactionary and
probably at some point he was advised to go public with something that would give him a "reason" to be questioned by various investigators ....
IOW, agree to cooperate...
while maintaining appearance of family loyalty....

Jr., unlike *45, is not 70+ yrs old w/undisclosed health issues & a narcissistic inability to protect any ass but his own.
He is a young, dad of how many ... like 4 or 5 kids?
He has way too much to lose ....
