She was right. Say it. Hallelujah edition.

I was just in the lounge reading a pet peeve thread about the use of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" at funerals. And then I watched Kate McKinnon's cold open for SNL the Saturday after the election. And then, for the first tim in a long time, I found myself crying.

Collectively we were all injured by whatever crimes were committed in the course of sabotaging this election, but on a purely personal level, it is Hillary Clinton who was the target and the primary victim.

I've yet to hear any of the punditry actually say it. Where is the outrage on a level personal that this was done to the first woman nominee of a major party for the office of the presidency? Will no one stand up for her as a person and as a victim?

She was right. Say it.
And then acknowledge that she was also wronged.

2. Sad that Dems do not stand up for their presidential

candidates.

Too many so eager to not rock the big US boat (and many of theses, oddly, describe themselves as revolutionaries).

The disgusting events in Florida in 2000 gave us Bush. The despicable events in 2016 gave us Trump criminality, and a foreign power in charge of our government.

I say Hillary Clinton belongs in the Oval Office.

I want want a bigger vision than "there's nothing we can do." or "we're stuck with Pence."

Make the demand that Clinton be selected as vp and then Pence resign. You may be surprised at the results.

The Republican Party "controls" three branches of government but may in reality be much weaker.

The instant analyses of the election by many in the days after the election (we had a bad candidate, we needed to reach out to a mythic white electorate, Russian involvement was no big deal) were wrong). Their arguments were possibly self serving.

To not stand for justice and instead acquiesce to injustice makes a party weak.

5. She paved the way for women presidents, and Bill paved the way for Bob Mueller to fry Trump.

A mean spirited Republican investigation of a small-scale property investment found nothing, but the statute allowed Starr (now disgraced) to spend millions looking for something, anything. What he "found" was an intern who didn't know she was being recorded when she talked about her fling with a married man.

So Trump has no leg to stand on when trying to control the investigation.

6. Watch Kate McKinnon's rendition one more time and then watch the Pentatonix a cappella version

I've done that a few times. Kate sets it up and gives the song purpose. The Pentatonix hit it out of the park.
