So, tRump is going to pardon himself and others for stealing the election with Russian help

Looking into his pardoning powers for aides and himself.

Yeah, I think we all see the handwriting on the wall.

He is going to pardon himself for HIS DIRECT INVOLVEMENT in colluding with the Russians to steal the election.

And the Congressional Rs will do nothing because guess what? THEY WERE IN ON IT. McConnell, Ryan, Priebus. All involved.

The direction Mueller is taking in his investigation is telling these TRAITORS just how close he is to exposing the whole fucking thing. Their only choices are quitting en masse, or destroying our democracy to hang onto their treasonously obtained positions of power.

Our democracy is hanging by a thread.

1. Doesn't he have to state exactly what crime he's pardoning for?

Pretty much a confession. Hope his jet is fueled up for a one way trip to the Philippines.

3. No. Take note of Ford's pardon of Nixon, any and all crimes without specification if there were any

5. Nope. IIRC, Ford pardoned Nixon for "any and all offenses he may have committed."

He can try, but it seems pretty clear that the founders did not intend for a president to place himself above the law.

Nixon's team suggested he pardon himself. He didn't - said it would be dishonorable (and Nixon knew dishonorable).

Be able to pardon yourself would essentially make the President above the law. The only people above the law in all of human history have been kings and emperors, and I don't see the Supreme Court crowning him Donald the First yet.

Don't pardons apply only to crimes already proven?
Like, a pardon can't be issued until the active investigation is completed and charges have been brought?
I suppose if he wanted to, he could pardon himself for fucking that unicorn last week and then killing that dragon, but since he's not ever going to be charged with any of that, what legal standing would it have? What value would it carry?

Ford pardoned Nixon and no charges had been brought. Clinton pardoned Marc Rich, a federal fugitive, and he had not been brought to trial .
