As sleazy as Trump is, he's too stupid to realize that people like Sessions are old pros at the sleaze game and will play accordingly.
Sessions still has a political career to protect - Trump doesn't. You can be damned sure that Sessions and his long-term GOP allies are looking right now for ways to discredit Trump while protecting themselves.
