Schumer is trying to make a last stand before McConnell drives the nail into the coffin.

More like my coffin.

I hate to say "I told you so", especially with this issue. When the House did it, when they got Gorsuch, when they won't put country over party ever, and when they do not vote as their constituents want them to as their representatives I knew...I knew.

Very sad day for me (sniff, sniff).

Keep resisting! Do not give up. I won't stop until I can't continue physically. I will resist in my heart and mind until I am dead. Peace.

unless you have lost your voice due to a physical problem, if you can still pick up a telephone and talk truth to power, NOW is the time.

Spare me the "I told you so.", rings hollow. My regrets for the harsh rebuke.

Despite their win, I wil not fade away quietly. I will keep at it whether it's through marching, writing letters or calling. I WILL NOT STOP and I encourage others to do the same. I am in this for the long haul.

I am also "in this for the long haul". Sometimes it feels like 15 tons.

who will die without the ACA. We may have to be his voice.

I am so sorry, Bigman.

and always have been (as well as a proud feminist since I was a kid). BigmanPigman is from my favorite Pink Floyd album Animals.

Maybe that's why I am still so passionate and outspoken for issues I feel strongly about.

That might get me to Tricare, but I figure that and the VA is the next to get cut because all those Billionaires need their seventh get-away Mansion in Wyoming or off Martha's Vineyard. So maybe, we'll have a few more years than most in our situation.

But Laz will blow through his lifetime coverage in five years, if the insurance companies are nice enough to start the clock over.
And his disabilities aren't immediately fatal - they're the type that drain bank accounts, lose homes to foreclosures, run families into poverty and put average people out on the street before they begin to shorten lifespans. If they don't start the clock over, he's already hit his lifetime cap, as determined by insurance company actuaries. Time for him to be cut loose to pay his own way or die.

He's just hitting his mid-50's. If the GOP gets their way, he's looking at maybe 20 wasted years of eventual poverty and madness before he's tossed into a pauper's pit with all the other "losers" in life. And if, as I suspect, the GOP takes away my military benefits to help pay for some hedge fund brat's Grand Tour birthday party, then I'm going to be tossed in alongside him.
