So Has The Whole Boy Scout Debacle Been Forgotten Already?......

We're a couple of days past Trump's insane speech to the Boy Scouts and it looks like it's been forgotten already. The MSM has moved on and are chasing other stories.

This BSA speech for me was the worst of Trump. Trying to brainwash our youth and taint their minds. I still feel the powers that be in the Boy Scout Organization that allowed this to take place need to resign. There is no room for politics in Scouting. They let it happen.

I can't believe that we've given Trump a pass on this already. No wonder he keeps doing these outrageous things. He keeps getting away with them. Give him and inch and he'll take a mile. And little by little he's destroying our country.

Not cover the news that's happening right now?

There's literally not enough time to devote full attention and resources to every thing that happens that deserves it these days.

How Trump’s speech to the Boy Scouts could put AT&T’s CEO in a tricky spot

AT&T chief executive Randall Stephenson is hardly the first corporate leader who has also been national president of the Boy Scouts of America. Current Secretary of State and former ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson held the role from 2010 to 2012. The CEO of Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Rick Cronk, held it in the mid-2000s.

But Stephenson is almost certainly the first to find himself in that role while the president of the United States made a political speech at a Boy Scout event at a time when his company faces a Justice Department antitrust review. AT&T is awaiting word on its proposed $85 billion takeover of Time Warner — putting Stephenson in a potentially difficult scenario as many parents and former Boy Scouts have called for an apology about Trump's speech.

That's partly, of course, because there has never been a speech to Boy Scouts from a sitting president like Trump's in West Virginia on Monday. He touted his election win to thousands of applauding preteens and teenagers in attendance, bragging about “the incredible night with the maps,” when “we won and won.” He threatened to fire his Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price if he didn't get needed votes to repeal Obamacare, questioned why President Barack Obama hadn't attended the jamboree event (he appeared in videotaped remarks) and called the nation's capital a “cesspool” despite saying, “Who the hell wants to speak about politics when I'm in front of the Boy Scouts?”

The next day, a groundswell of parents and former Boy Scouts called out the organization for the content of Trump's speech, flooding its Facebook page with hundreds of comments, with some demanding an apology or threatening to leave the organization. One parent of an Eagle Scout called the speech a “deeply offensive disaster which must be repudiated by the BSA” on Facebook; Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) said on Twitter that “as a Scout leader, my stomach is in knots about what Trump did today.” A number of Twitter users pointed out Stephenson's role as CEO of a company that has a merger awaiting approval.

to come clean about it.

Not an organization worth supporting, or even treating with respect.

They're the Tr*mpjugend now, and that's how we should treat anyone wearing that uniform.

The Boy Scouts have willingly allowed themselves to become weaponized in the service of a bigoted, fascistic beast.

But, in case you haven't noticed, more people on here are concerned about trump's new transgender military rules. The GOP has succeeded in getting people to ignore what the Senate is doing.

While I put a lot of shame on the media for being easily manipulated rating whores during the campaign, I am less annoyed now because they are attempting to keep abreast of the lunacy and hourly nightmares this creature is bringing down on us all.

There is absolutely nothing new about Trump giving an inappropriate, self aggrandizing speech.
In the meantime ripping away people's healthcare and civil rights is happening. If the MSM does it's job, both of those things should eclipse yet another story of an uncouth, classless president who doesn't know how to act in contexts that demand serious presidential behavior.

who featured it a bit but with some odd smiling, interspersed with little musings about how much of a thing it was, finally sliding into a fantasizing brainstorm of what *other* acting-out things might be done, with his question, "What if he WORE a Boy Scout uniform (to the event), that would be all right, wouldn't it?!1"

After that morning after shock, the rest of the day from Tweety on, just let it go like nothing happened. Disgusting and repulsive and repellant DRUMPF is just the-president-this and the-president-that.

The Boy Scout thing wasn't all that important in the grand scheme of things.

I consider the GOP trying to repeal the ACA and Trump's ban on transgender troops to be much more important
