After consultation with "my" generals and military experts. . .

I know it's pointless to ask, but who were those generals and military experts?

I had thought that the Pentagon was taken by surprise, but I read today that Mattis had one day's advance notice. What was his response at that time?

I doubt that any such meetings will be found. Bannon/Machiavelli may have been the advice-giver.

And yet, while there has been outrage and editorials, no one seems to be asking this question.

Again, not that it matters. It's just one more outrage on top of all the others.
