GOP VOWS To Continue The War On ACA. We Are Facing Permanent Threat.

We have won FOR NOW. Despite the unpopularity of the GOP efforts the GOP is signaling it will continue to try to end health care in the US as we know it. ACA is still the target. There will be no rest from this threat. The vampire is still alive.

I called a Senators Collins and Murkowski this morning to thank them, breathing a sigh of relief that we were safe for another day...I told them both that in my message. I know that this is temporary. The GOP will not let this go.

I am not tossing out all the files of congressional names, states, addresses and phone numbers since I am sure I will need them sooner than later. Indivisible and MoveOn want us to remain vigilant and to hold them accountable.

The GOP will not stop their assault on America and their relentless pursuit of power and wealth. I still don't think we've seen this whole ice berg yet.

4. The House can continue not to fund reimbursements and subsidies.

It's crucial for the costs to enrollees that the House release funding to reimburse insurance companies for the early costs of covering patients with pre-existing conditions. The funding for subsidies to enrollees also needs Congressional and presidential approval. I'm not a lawyer, but surely Democratic state attorneys general can file lawsuits if these funds are cut off. The grounds would be a denial of equal protection for citizens who would be hit by these funding decisions.

Of course making sure it is well-known to all insurance recipients how important these funding decisions are is the job of the DNC and 2018 candidates. The Dem sympathetic commentariat also needs to put the heat on Republicans or conservative Dems so these funding sources aren't cut off again.

...the economy. As well the ACA needs be fully funded as intended with updating as intended. Knowledge of republicans underhanded, set up to fail ploys are known and we need to keep their feet to the fire regarding such.

We will not win every battle, we can win the war.

...and that really says it all. These are the people that just want to watch the world burn; that's the base they're playing to and that's what we have to call out at every opportunity. It is NOT ok to play politics with people's lives and health. Any bipartisan deal has to make sure the ACA is not stealth bombed or neglected out of existence.

They're a no-show throughout the process, and that's what politicians notice, above all else.
