This is the kind of topic one takes with a grain of salt. For grins I did a a quick Google search and found a 2016 post from Joeseph Cannon. Back in 2004 I used to follow him. I stopped from what I remember because he wasn't an Obama fan... Not certain on that. But here's the blog post with some intriguing links... most still work.

1. The thing is, that's not uncommon in modeling agencies.

It's not the rule, it's not usual in very reputable agencies, but it happens in 3rd and 4th tier agencies with enough regularity that there are seminars for new models and their parents about avoiding it, getting out and staying safe. And it was much, much more common in the era we're talking about.

That's my grain of salt -- I don't know if it did happen, but it has happened often enough that I don't discount it immediately.
