Trump has not yet signed the sanctions bill from Congress.

All expectations seem to be that he will sign it since it passed in the House 410-3 and in the Senate 98-2. If he were to veto it, it would appear to be an obvious over-ride, which would not look good for his presidency, this early into his Administration.

However, do not be surprised if he waits until Congress leaves town and decides to veto it. He has always believed that given more time on any issue, he can come up with a different result. He delays whatever he does not have a direct answer for, such as his "audit" on his income tax returns.

8. Congress has to adjourn for a pocket veto

The president has 10 days since being presented with the bill to sign, not sign or veto. This doesn't count Sundays.

If Congress adjourns during that 10 day period and the president doesn't sign it then it's a pocket veto, since Congress isn't in session to receive the bill back.

The Senate has delayed the August recess until 12 August. Regardless the Senate will hold pro forma session and not actually be in recess.

to sign it from the date passed. If he does not sign it within 10 days it becomes law without his signature, unless Congress is adjourned, which it normally would be, but the Senate is still in session for a few more weeks, so a pocket veto will not work. Maybe he just wants it to become law without his signature.

--from the poor and disabled, mind you--; but when it comes to making a foreign government that INTERFERED IN OUR FECKING ELECTIONS responsible, suddenly he can't find a working pen?

Where's the news conference with the signing of the menu and showing everybody his big boy power?

Not so much on this one eh Putin's little Puppet?

14. Not signing officially makes him the sniveling tool of a hostile nation. The FBI will soon prove it.
