(18,634 posts)We are at record lengths for job growth and a bull market. What goes up must come down. The economy will fall naturally and we are due for a recession. Could be a year or two out, but a recession is inevitable.
Just know that the longer we see good economic numbers the less Trump will be able to blame Obama for the economy receding.

As a generalization, we are a hateful and selfish society that worships death and war.
All we care about is the color of the newest iPhone (that looks exactly like the last iPhone) and what YouTube star (insert name here) is doing next. We are useless as a society.
(To be clear in painting with a broad brush there are exceptions but not enough to make a difference)

(99,702 posts)He lost the popular vote by 3,000,000 and won the archaic Electoral College by 100,000 in three states. He isn't a fucking juggernaut. And there are a lot more of us than there are of them.

In context of how "Americans" and especially those in Congress treated PBO it just breaks my heart.
I see us on a fast train to a coup and republicans don't care.
They want a second special prosecutor to investigate Clinton (AGAIN) and even PBO. Just done with it.
