Time for some Friday news dumps?
What will break between now and 9.00pm?

(46,166 posts)I don't know if I can take more. So I'm going to go peel a big box of tomatoes for making my salsa this weekend. That should keep my mind off whatever is on today's horizon!
See you later for the nooz!

(111,352 posts)AZ has had a monsoon season this year. It skipped NM. This is the dying gasp of the wind pattern and we've finally got wet stuff coming out of the sky. We might even get more tomorrow.
Then it gets hot and dry, which is better than the hot and humid it has been.

(111,352 posts)Umbrella? HELL NO. In fact, the only ones I saw were folded up. They're used for sun around here, not rain.

(269,177 posts)Breakfast is much later because of the morning walk and then lunch is anywhere between three and four so it's mostly nuts and/or fruits at dinner time.
So dinner is over - bring o the breaking news

(36,466 posts)The game was supposed to start at 4:05 (PT), but it's rain delayed and it ain't even raining. A rain delay without rain, what's up with that?
I know who doesn't win tonight, but he did real good considering he crashed to zero last night. No spoilers!

(1,301 posts)I've been politically aware for some time now. Historically Friday news dumps were a completely different concept. It's when administrations released information that was less than flattering about itself but they knew it was going to come out anyway. That's what most people in my age group think of when talking about Friday news dumps.
The whole concept seems to have changed. The media itself has changed the rule on this. We have seen big story after big story dumped on Friday afternoons.
Are they getting more bang by their stories being shared online by the younger generations? Are more people watching weekend daytime news shows? The old theory was that fewer people watched news on the weekends compared to the weekly evening news.
