Twitter has begun shutting down white supremacist accounts

Reuters is reporting that Wednesday, Twitter began to shut down white supremacist Twitter accounts tied to the neo-Nazi site The Daily Stormer. This is the same group that has recently lost its online presence as well as its online security after it used the tragic death of Heather Heyer in Charlottesville to call her a “fat, childless, 32-year-old slut.”
Twitter said it would not discuss individual accounts, but at least three accounts affiliated with the Daily Stormer led to pages saying "account suspended."
The San Francisco-based social network prohibits violent threats, harassment and hateful conduct and "will take action on accounts violating those policies," the company said in a statement.
The fact of the matter is that people have asked that many of these sites be suspended for abusive attacks on people online, for years. The question now is—will Twitter suspend Donald Trump’s hateful, white supremacist condoning account? Has Trump retweeted some of these people that are being suspended? And if so ...
