Either:
A. You were in charge from 1999-2002, and are responsible for Bain's outsourcing and investments in the aborted fetus disposal business (along with lying about your Bain ties to the Olympics and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, not to mention the FEC)
Or
B. you weren't in charge and lied to the SEC when you claimed to be COB/CEO/Pres and sole shareholder (thereby committing a felony)
Or, you can just keep stonewalling right up to the convention, while more and more GOPers run for their lives!

(10,572 posts)then why did he as the owner of the business let them do things he sees as unethical (like out sourcing, investing in disposal of aborted fetuses).
Is this the kind of president we want? One who looks the other way because he's taken on another side project (the Olympics in Utah). What kind of businessman owns a business but pays no attention to what it is doing?

(26,219 posts)(Noting that the USOC required him to "cut all ties" to any entity doing business with Olympic sponsors).
So we have:
1999 - Must leave Bain because the USOC requires him to cut ties
2002 - Running for Governor, so must emphasize that he did not leave Bain, because that is his connection to the state for residency
1999-2002 - Tells the SEC that he is king of the hill at Bain
2011 - Tells the FEC that he left Bain in 1999 because he doesn't want to be saddled with Bain investments/activities that cost jobs, pensions, and disposed of aborted fetuses.
Can't have it both ways. He was either there and lied to the USOC (new Olympics scandal, anyone?) and the Federal Government, or he wasn't, and lied in sworn testimony to the State of Mass and the SEC.
They are mutually exclusive - and lying to the FEC/SEC is a federal felony.

(13,360 posts)The timelines/etc just don;t work...and it is obvious. Our POTUS has every right to question his possible felonious behavior to the SEC...in fact, i wish he would rack up some more of the bastards and tar & feather them in the public square!!
this is not going away, we may even get to see williard frog-walked ...

Who knows what logic I use, but right now the title of a certain book comes to mind:
"The Audacity of Hope"! Yeah Mr. President. How ironic that with Mitter's decisions and deceits, we can dare to have the audacity to HOPE!
