Anthony Weiner Longs for a Second Chance in Politics, Friends Say

By KATE TAYLOR
Published: July 15, 2012

When it comes to former Representative Anthony D. Weiner’s political future, there are a few indisputable facts.

He has roughly $4.5 million in the bank for a political candidacy and a deadline to use it next year or miss out on getting up to $1.5 million in public matching funds.

He wants to return to politics, according to friends and former staff members.

And, as much as he might desire to run for office, he faces a major challenge in overcoming the scandal over the lewd online behavior that spurred him to resign his House seat last year.

Beyond that, there are mostly questions, the biggest of them being when Mr. Weiner may attempt a comeback. On Sunday, he declined to comment when asked directly about his immediate political ambitions.

Here's the baby:

And, considering what Michelle Bachmann has been spewing about Huma, it's a proven fact she's back working for Hillary.

But by the far the strangest claim of "infiltration" that she cites is the one she leads off her letter with: longtime Hillary Clinton aide-de-camp Huma Abedin. In her letter, Bachmann tells Ellison that she is concerned about Abedin's familial connections to the Brotherhood, and raises concerns over her security clearance.

I don't like the way he was drummed out by his own party the way the repubs did with Vitter and Craig......Oh wait.

Weiner was one of the few good guys on domestic issues.

I wish him well. I sincerely hope his potential voter pool isn't made up of the "progressives" that were calling him a dozen kinds of mentally ill when the non-scandal happened.

If the mayoral race came down to a toss-up between Weiner and Ray Kelly, I'm voting for Weiner! Every time. Not even close. Kelly is a dick.

They were waiting in the lurch for any fuckup they could use against him and they got it.

I miss him in Congress, but I wish him luck on this new venture.

but i'm looking at people like Romney who did far worse and are running for President. bush WAS president.

how he had to resign and people like Romney and Bush get where they are shows how this country can be so puritanical in certain areas while ignoring or accepting such corruption that ruins peoples lives.
