It seems that US Customs is cracking down on inexpensive medicines

from other countries.

I get a common, non-controlled substance prescription med from an overseas source. The cost from a US pharmacy per pill is $1.50 per pill.

The cost from the overseas pharmacy is 30 cents per pill.

Here is the email I just received from the overseas pharmacy:

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately we have been experiencing unpredictable delivery times, mainly due to orders being delayed in customs.

If delayed they are taking up to and often over 21 days for delivery.

I can arrange for a free replacement order to be shipped to you or refund your money. Which option would you prefer?

I suspect that the Health Care Industry and Big Pharma are putting pressure on the government to make sure they get every last drop of blood out of us before we all die from Denial of Claim Syndrome.

I get a prescription from a Canadian pharmacy, and the usual wait is about three weeks, sometimes a bit more. Forms have to be filled out for customs, but that's the only delay I can imagine that is related to customs. Sounds like an excuse for slow processing, but the pills do eventually come through.

I've never ever had a shipment intercepted, or noticeably re-wrapped.

and have been doing regular business with them for 2 1/2 years.

Registered mail tracking says parcel was last tracked to ICS in NYC.
