Annise Parker is shaking off Ann Coulter after the conservative columnist suggested Hurricane Harvey might have happened because of the former Houston mayor’s sexual orientation.

As floods ravaged Texas last week, Coulter sent out a tweet where she insinuated that divine punishment for Parker’s lesbianism is a more likely reason for the storm’s existence than climate change:

Parker was elected in 2009 as America’s first openly gay mayor, and she served the city until 2016. Coulter got predictable levels of blowback for her remarks, but as for Parker, she’s just annoyed that someone discovered the truth about her secret powers.
