Hurricane Irma Already Hit Trumps Caribbean Property, And Mar-A-Lago Estate May Be Next

The status of the Trump estate, which has been for sale for several months and is apparently used as a rental property, is not known, but the French government, which controls the side of St. Martin that Trump’s property is on, said there was serious damage in the area:

A cluster of government buildings on the island was partially destroyed, and two-dozen government officials were forced to take shelter inside a concrete structure.

“We know that the four most solid buildings on the island have been destroyed, which means that more rustic structures have probably been completely or partially destroyed,” French Interior Minister Gerard Collomb told AFP.

Since the storm is headed to South Florida, Trump’s real estate holdings there, including Mar-A-Lago and three golf courses, are likely to face at least tropical storm conditions and worse if they end up being in the storm’s path. But this morning the Trump Organization tweeted it is operating as normal until further notice.

So this is the beginning of his comeuppance -- it's karma, Trump. Take it in stride. What goes around comes around.

If not during the storm then in the long aftermath. A real leader with a real heart would make it so.

That's where his insurance should kick in, if it's uninsured property then shame on him -- his loss, not mine.

People in areas that flood don't have adequate insurance. That's where federal disaster relief kicks in.

I was specifically referring to the likely cost to you (and the rest of us) to rebuild Trump's property via Federal Disaster Relief efforts. No. I don't believe he has adequate insurance. Most people don't.

Couldn't find photos of any damage to Saint Martin property but I'm sure they'll pop up soon; as well as Mar a lago.

So if we're having our druthers and focusing: just on Trump Tower. Not Manhatten, just TT. And that ugly black airplane.
