Romney won't release his taxes because it will show that he committed a felony

They will show that he was a legal resident of Utah when he voted as a Massachusetts resident. All of the other possibilities will be politically damaging for a short period of time but they are nothing he can't overcome. The possibility of being shown as a person who committed voter fraud is a killer.

We will never see those returns.

1) voter fraud
2) lying about residency to run as Gov.
3) lying to SEC about when he quit Bain

4) tax evasion?

Are those correct?

We should be able to get him put in prison for life. 3 strikes and all is good enough for the little people. 30 years mandatory.

Can't his taxes be looked at by IRS?
Can't they be ordered to be released by SEC?

Can't they be ordered to be released for the voter fraud?

Not released for the public mind you, but isn't there some authority that can easily look into them?

1 - The tax returns indict him so he will never release them on his own.
2 - The Obama team KNOWS this and is giddy with joy over pushing him to release them
3- Sometime in September or October the returns will magically appear as a leak (not by the Obama team mind you)
4 - Romney will scream and kick that it was illegal to release them and that Obama was responsible, blah, blah
5 - The media will ignore this because the bigger issue will be that Romney is a felon.
6 - Obama wins the election.

We don't want those returns released until after the GOP convention. Romney needs to be the firm nominee first.

We want this issue to be at a slow boil until October.

It came out a bit early but you gotta run with what you got. As long as the media keeps it on the front lines, we can only sit back and watch. lol

But I agree. I don't want a brokered convention. Whoever they throw in there would automatically increase the republican support for the election since Rmoney is not very popular to begin with. They would rally around a fart at this point.

a fart? McCain? Palin? lol

dump him at the convention. it'd be fun to watch, but they will nominate someone very slippery and not as stupid.

This can't be stated enough. The GOP is going all-out with voter suppression to compliment their GOP-owned voting machines. Their goal is a "permanent GOP majority" (a favorite Karl Rove quote).

Too many GOP states claim voter fraud is rampant, however, when pressed, only a handful of cases can be cited. Having its own presumptive nominee commit voter fraud would put the kibosh on this lie.

Then, it's on to the GOP-owned voting machines...

THat is the only reason he won't release them.

He can spin low tax rates (I used all legal means to reduce my tax burden. You would, too!).
He can spin multiple foreign investments (Blind trust! I invest in the world! This means I know more about the world economy than Obama!)
He can spin questionable write offs (The IRS agreed with me on these!)

He can't spin fraud.

It is against the law for someone to look at IRS returns for anything other than official IRS business. The GOP may leak the returns, then try to blame Obama, having all of its surrogates march in lock step on the news channels, attacking the Obama camp for breaking laws to access and release the returns.

I guarantee you that before this story line broke, and many times since then, there have been a multitude of memos to the Obama top staff reminding them that it is against the law for them to access the tax returns.

Also no way anyone in the McCain camp does, either...because it's a near-certainty there's a non-disclosure agreement in force, and that will be a legally-binding contract.

Now a "Bradley Manning" in either the McCain camp or the IRS? Well, that's another matter...

How hard would it be to find someone to leak from the IRS?

How do we know that Romney isn't making new ones? Who would be able to confirm?

Romney is the definition of a coward. Hell, even Newt the Pig showed his tax returns.

The most logical conclusion is a leak from the McCain campaign.

But consider all of the other candidates against him, in 08 and 12, reportedly don't like him.

Was it the Newt pissed off about the barrage of negative ads?

Was is Ricky S. pissed off that the repubs nominated a flip/flopping liberal?

Rick P,... you wanna bet $10,000?
