Warning : I should have checked before and make sure all were from Einstein.Obviously, it isn't.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the universe.
The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
"Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere."
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.
Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.
"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." I agree with the second part of the quote
"The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it."
"Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind."
"The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive."
"Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts." this special one is for the GOP
"Anyone who doesn't take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted in large ones either." This one for the rad waste
"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." Special 45 and he's not the great mind.
"A man should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be."
"All that is valuable in human society depends upon the opportunity for development accorded the individual."
"The high destiny of the individual is to serve rather than to rule."
"The faster you go, the shorter you are."
"Force always attracts men of low morality."
"Nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced."

Bernardo de La Paz
(49,001 posts)It is very old. I think as old as Rome.
It does not appear on Wikiquotes on Einstein's page. It might be worth checking the other quotes. For example, neither does the fourth last quote on destiny. The "value" quote should be "A man of value gives more than he receives." The "persistent illusion" one is distorted.
"Useless laws weaken the necessary laws." -- "The Spirit of the Laws", Book XXIX, 1748, Montesquieu (1689-1755)
"The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws." -- Tacitus, 56-120 A.D.

(5,101 posts)I should have checked the quotes.
In one part, I knew Einstein has been credited with many apocryphal quotes, on the other, I'm unforgivable for the last quote since a have read, re-read "The Spirit of the Laws".
C'était quasiment mon livre de chevet...
I wonder if I delete the thread or change to title. For example to something like this :
"These statements have never been more relevant"
or :
"These historical statements have never been more relevant"

(5,101 posts)To be honest I don't know much about him. Only the common and usual informations.
It is far from my field of expertise.
I just remembered something very weak and vague, almost shadowy : it seems he was not such a good person. But really, I'm not sure.
I might just go and delete the thread?
