Edward Burns of Ozark, Mo., was charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon in the late August incident. The woman involved, Laura Umphenour, crashed into a guardrail at highway speeds as a result of the threatening show.

(3,569 posts)Many years ago now. My license plate frame said "my next license plate will be made by Bush and Cheney". Big truck guy behind me, cutting me off, honking, showing his gun etc. Terrifying and I'm a big guy. Can't imagine being a woman and having that happen to you.
I finally swerved to the right and stopped on the freeway while he went past. So scary.

I live in Missouri (Jefferson County, just south of St. Louis), there are cars with Trump stickers in my subdivision. I keep seeing stickers I would like, but then I decide that no, I don't want my car keyed, or my neighbors getting angry at me. I also worry about getting tailgated, followed, and or some other moving issue while driving. It is so sad, that if you believe in hope, love and science that you can be so afraid to show it in parts of our country. Just another note, maybe if I was a big guy, or drove a large car I would have a different view, but small female in a Mini Roadster, I feel like I would have a target on me and my car every time I left the house. /edit a word
