It's on line with Tampa, which is what they've been predicting for the last 24 hours or so.

she'll head straight to Texas, or the very west end of Louisiana. Then he say's I should get a job with CNN, oh wait both Anderson and Chris Como have bigger "guns" then I do and I won't get hired. we laughed and decided it probably wasn't something to laugh about.

at this point, there is pretty good consensus. Of course, you're right - there could be an unexpected shift. But it's much less likely at this point.

I am not a meteorologist but it seems that this is a realistic possibility. I actually said out loud a couple times, "Shit, this thing is going to go into the Gulf". That is good for the people on the West coast of FL of course but not good for the residents of so many states bordering the Gulf. Hurricanes are SOOO unpredictable. I feel sorry for the weather forecasters who sometimes get blamed for not making more accurate predictions and for local governments who need to organize emergency first responders and getting thousands of people to evacuate.

It's hugging the Cuban coast. Drag, perhaps. I just don't know enough to predict what's next.
