Carter's Chocolates Being Driven Out of Current Location for 'Political Differences'
You may remember Carter's Chocolates being elegantly endorsed by Randi Rhodes back in the day, but today, things have changed. The location they have been running their little cafe' and chocolate factory, the Port Orchard Market, is asking them to leave soon because the other stores are complaining that their type of liberalism is unacceptable. I have just returned from a visit there where I was told not to reveal too much for they are considering legal action. I am allowed to say that they are being driven away for political differences. John has told me that they will be moving back to their previous location in the little plaza by the Slaughter County Brewing Company. He said that they hope to find a better location and store set-up after the holidays.
This really is a bummer as they have put a lot of work into building their current space into a pleasant cafe' with a wonderful outdoor sitting porch. I asked John permission to post this here and I told him that Carter's Chocolates has a lot of friends.
