Hardheaded Socialism Makes Canada Richer Than U.S.

(Bloomberg) On July 1, Canada Day, Canadians awoke to a startling, if pleasant, piece of news: For the first time in recent history, the average Canadian is richer than the average American.

According to data from Environics Analytics WealthScapes published in the Globe and Mail, the net worth of the average Canadian household in 2011 was $363,202, while the average American household’s net worth was $319,970.

A few days later, Canada and the U.S. both released the latest job figures. Canada’s unemployment rate fell, again, to 7.2 percent, and America’s was a stagnant 8.2 percent. Canada continues to thrive while the U.S. struggles to find its way out of an intractable economic crisis and a political sine curve of hope and despair.

The difference grows starker by the month: The Canadian system is working; the American system is not. And it’s not just Canadians who are noticing. As Iceland considers switching to a currency other than the krona, its leaders’ primary focus of interest is the loonie -- the Canadian dollar. ....................(more)

That were waaay lower than that $319k figure. Like $200k lower.

Am I comparing apples to oranges? I mean I do understand what "net worth" means.

Perhaps what I saw was the median net worth as opposed to the average. The median would of course be quite a bit lower.

On edit: found this article which states the median net worth of American households is $91,000 and change.

In the US that's around 70k but the fact we have so much wealth concentrated at the top drags the average higher.

Median in Canada is closer to 200k from what I've seen. Damn socialists!!11!1

2. The Mitt Romney / Bain Capital criminal capitalism scheme is exposed

Capitalism is finally being exposed for the fraud it has become. We must destroy capitalism as soon as possible, and the first thing to do that is to eliminate criminal activity such as Bain Capital. To do that, we must arrest Mitt Romney within the next two months, preferably frogmarching him while giving his GOP acceptance speech.

There is a petition to arrest and indict Mitt Romney on Obama's site, change.org. Here is the link:

CHANGE.ORG PETITION - Eric Holder: Arrest and Indict Mitt Romney NOW!

We need 5,000 signatures. Once we get that, we will start the avalanche to destroy Romney, get Obama re-elected and if necessary, beef up the Executive Order process so we can bypass Congress as we have been doing the past two years.

Let's start back and show Canada that we can join them in socialist solidarity for our citizens! Sign the petition ASAP.
