Does anyone remember the eclipse on August 21st?

So much has happened since then.

At the time, did you believe that it might affect the tides or cause some horrendous event?

There was a dark shadow across our entire continent.

Can we prove whether or not it had anything at all to do with the recent hurricanes? Also, we should not forget that there was a huge earthquake in Mexico.

Do scientists truly understand the effects of gravity on our planet Earth, in regards to the Moon?

and the answer is...

equal to "X".

Actually, I suspect there may be some kind of effect from that but I couldn't explain it to the satisfaction of anyone so I'll leave it at that.

ETA: Don't forget that X9 solar flare last week too.

hurricanes might be a stretch though. Didn't the shadow have a cooling effect?
