(14,164 posts)There is a difference between fighting for a letter in the alphabet just because...and fighting for principles that have and will in the future, define that party with that letter. Kamala Harris and other prominent Democrats are on board so either you jump on or be left behind.

(12,534 posts)I started suspecting posters who were fanning the flames of division. When I went to their Groups and Likes on FB I found almost all Groups and Likes were in the Cyrillic / Russian alphabet .
But the questions are: Why do the Russians and Republicans see the world through the same prism? Have Pox News and the right wing media poisoned Republican minds to the point where they turn on fellow Americans, friends, neighbors and families for the benefit of a hostile state?

(21,734 posts)I think that what Russia is doing is fanning the flames of divisions that already do exist in America to create confusion, disunity, and mistrust among us. This makes for a much easier target to take down. It's not so much "how" we go down, it's just that we DO go down.
The Wizard
(12,534 posts)responsible for turning Americans against each other for political gain? Is the Right wing media acting as an agent of a hostile State?

The T-party extremists want top down government with them on top. Like all extremists, compromise and negotiation are against their principles. Putin is the kind of leader they want for us.

why do repugs yearn for a royalty here, and can't handle the idea that WE THE PEOPLE run the country. The piggy billionaires run around hoping to be accepted as royalty in Europe. The whole bunch are really F***ed in the head.

(498 posts)And you guys still post these articles/rants constantly. Or jump on the bandwagon with a me-too.
Clearly, it's only real when some guy on twitter says it.
This is, of course, how we get fake news.
Instead of thinking for yourself, you wait for twitter-folk or business insider etc to tell you stuff.

(11,122 posts)that blames Hillary for being a corporate stooge or attacks Bernie for being disruptive. The bots know your weaknesses. Don't let them do it.
Hillary is an honest, hard-working force for the poor and used. She has spent her life trying to do good.
Bernie is a committed leftist. He has spent his life working for the poor and used.
If you can't agree with both of those statements, they you are a victim of troll-bait working.

(3,278 posts)Let's abandon tribalism and band together to stand up to the actual enemy: The white supremacist in the White House and the legions of -actual nazis- who are emboldened to come out of the closet and wave their nazi flags and shout their nazi slogans in public without masks. Those are the people we all need to stand together against.

(9,942 posts)...don't exaggerate their differences anymore - the campaign is over. She doesn't need his tax returns and he doesn't need her speech transcripts.
Hillary had some honest opinions about Bernie and put them in her book. They had their place and, frankly, she made a lot of sense.
Bernie says negative things about Hillary and the Democratic Party and much of what he says about the latter, at least, is worth thinking about.
Neither of them have a major beef about the other... the media picks up and magnifies their words. Hillary gets to write a book and have her say - she's earned the right. Bernie has caught on to the media game and says less about Hillary and more about furthering progressive ideas. Media overplays this friction story.

(624 posts)you get my drift. I do so hope that has been rectified by now, but time will tell.
Personally, I'd prefer she go more low-key with her road show. We need some breathing room so the party can sort it all out. 2018 is right around the corner, and we have candidates stepping up right now who feel they have a finger on the political pulse of this moment. I know she has an ox to gore, but we have to get this right.
