Bwahaha: Mitt Romney Ad Taken Down Over Copyright Claim (Al Green singing ad)

Two days after President Barack Obama's campaign put out a brutal ad making fun of Mitt Romney's singing abilities, the Romney campaign responded in kind with a web video mocking Obama for singing Al Green's "Let's Stay Together."

However, on Monday afternoon, that video was no longer available. Viewers who tried to watch it were greeted with a fuzzy screen and the message:

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by BMG_Rights_Management.

Neither the Romney campaign nor BMG immediately returned a request for comment.

I was in line at the grocery store, just waiting and letting my mind wander, and I thought of that ad. I wondered if copyright claims extended to someone else using the material. Apparently it does. Basically I was wondering what Al Green thought of that ad. He is a fellow patient at a specialist I go to, and I have bumped into him a few times. Was thinking of asking him, but now I don't have to.

if RMoney Campaign wanted to pursue it...

They're really busy lately "scrambling like a poodle on linoleum" (to borrow a phrase from Stephanie Miller).

I mean the Romney campaign. Didn't they see copyright issues right before them? ANYONE with half a brain would see that...certainly the Obama campaign did and took measures as prescribed...
