A message to my flooded neighbors in my very Conservative town

This morning I came across a message from a neighbor who got flooded out. My community is a very Conservative area, Kingwood, in Houston. She was expressing an ire towards FEMA and implicitly the government. I felt compelled to respond and use her complaint to make some important points. Was I successful?

We have a society. It should not be so. Maybe all of us are none of us are responsible for some of these natural disasters.

next you are much nicer than I. I am sick of coddling their spoiled, self centered asses. I pretty much would have said,,,

you reap what you sow. Climate change doesn't care who it destroys but you selfish denials are taking the rest of us down with you. Take a bow, you have successfully put your politics over the survival of the world. Pull yourself up by your water laden bootstraps and kiss your ass goodbye while you are bent over.
