Trump still popular in MI,WI and PA

I was watching Morning Joe and they mentioned an article on 538. What the hell is wrong with these people?? Trump is an absolute disaster and they still support him. His disapproval numbers in those states barely moved. I don't understand it. Dems can't win without those states. If he does not resign or get impeached we might be stuck with this idiot until 2020. Please save us Mueller..Let the evidence be so strong that Congress can't ignore it.

Some people get that way when they're being mocked for being stupid. I laugh harder the more steadfast in their ignorance they become.

Some people are hopelessly - terminally - willfully ignorant. (and proud of it)

Some actually think that it's OK if they are harmed in the process because at least Liberals are pissed. It's as if they think they are somehow getting the last laugh. You know - Yeah, I'm jobless, got no health care, my water is tainted, my air is polluted, but look how upset the Liberals are! ...then they laugh.

The idiots.

... to the dip they saw post Bush.

People who are privileged think equality is oppression and the white rural areas weren't the economically marginalized as people like MJ want people to believe

https://www.brookings.edu/blog/fixgov/2016/11/16/economic-marginalization-reality-check/

Some data allow us to put the economic marginalization of these groups into perspective. A glance at the latest unemployment numbers shows this struggle. In October 2016, overall unemployment sat at 4.9 percent, while unemployment for white Americans edged down to 4.3 percent. Last month, however, black unemployment stood at 8.6 percent and unemployment among Latinos was 5.7 percent.

It was plane tribalism that drew most of these people to Benedict Donald not an economic message

Florida, plus one other (NC, AZ, or GA) and we are there.

And while MI, WI, PA (and OH and IA) have been trending redder, AZ, TX and GA have been trending bluer.

Trump's margin in Texas was narrower than his margin in Iowa. And he didn't even make it to 51% in Georgia.

Their Facebook feeds deliver literal fake news to them every day. They believe that Trump saved those cats after the hurricane. They believe that he's done a wonderful job as president and has greatly improved the nation's economy and security. They listen to AM radio in their cars and occasionally watch Fox News. That's it. They don't read newspapers other than their local rural weekly. They don't read books.

They believe that Obama is a Muslim who was born in Kenya and almost destroyed the U.S. They believe that Trump is saving us all, even the idiot liberals who don't know any better.

They're extremely racist. They have a lot of weapons in preparation for the coming war. They believe that Muslims are organizing to take over the country, teamed up with gangs. They're afraid of cities. They live in an alternate reality.

At one point I worked for a supply company and everyone was from outside of suburbia. The location was in an industrial section of Richmond. I lived in the city and at first I thought they were joking but they weren't. They'd make comments about getting home before it was dark or walking the streets alone???? They actually thought there were open gun battles regularly in the city as if I had to avoid a hail of bullets to get from my car to my apartment.

They really thought it was open war fare and this was in the 90's.

Tue Sep 19, 2017, 09:00 AM

If the economy was not doing as well as it is people would not be as positive about Trump. Incumbent presidents usually get a boost from a good economy even if they are not responsible for it and I think that is the case with Trump. Obama deserves most of the credit for getting us through the Great Recession but a lot of people won't think of that given the prevalence of short-term memories.

Of course, as mentioned by others, there is also the fact that many of these people live in the right-wing bubble so Trump can do no wrong anyway. Trump also clearly knows how to play to his base with things like the border wall, going after DACA and pardoning Joe Arpaio. For a lot of people voting for Trump was about sticking it to groups of people that they don't like and not about policy.

The Democrats first mistake was to elect as DNC Chairman, Tom Perez
The Georgia Special election with little or no support from the DNC was a sign that thjis guy plans to pick and choose where the national support will go. (those questionable election results went unchallenged)

I believe Trump will be forced to resign but then we have Pence who is just as bad and the Republican strategy will still be based on racism and unethical strategy and sad to say that Trump supporters will still vote for these idiots.
