The Single Payer was a distraction and a red herring and we needed to focus on saving the ACA instead. This is an emergency and must be addressed NOW! Single Payer can be done anytime after Oct! The Dems knew this was coming...I did so they sure as hell did. I am so fucking pissed off that they didn't go to the media and alert people on Sept 6th!!!!!!!! I saw it here on DU and did post it and recognized posted the alert but was not taken seriously. I never trust the GOP and didn't need the grass roots groups to tell me to stay vigilant. and calls to action that distract from the most important issues at hand. Shore up the crucial, life changing, life saving, benefits of the ACA. Only then should we be cheerleading for universal health care, damnit. The guarantees built into Obamacare should be the foundation of any plan we come up with to promote and implement universal care in the future. It stands to reason that all our energy should be spent on saving them now and in the immediate future.
