'German' view of Trump's U.N. speech

I caught a few minutes this afternoon of an English language German news program (DW) on cable TV.
It’s preceded by an English language Japanese news show (NHK WORLD), which I also sometimes watch.

Two main points were:

1. It didn’t mean much what Trump said today at the U.N., because he’s well known to say one thing one day, and do something different the next day.

2. On the nuclear deal with Iran, it took a lot of hard negotiating between Iran and the U.S. and some of our allies (the “five plus one“ ) to broker the deal. If Trump pulls out of the Iran nuclear deal, he’ll be spitting in the face of those allies.

That’s exactly how they put it ~~ Trump would be spitting in the face of America’s allies.

Maybe not by actions ( yet ) but threats and being verbally abusive.

Trumpism has been a long time coming. The Trump cult has made us an irrelevant laughingstock. As long as he doesn't start a war, we are best left to be ignored.

If he starts a war, our erstwhile allies would be wise to isolate and sanction us as much as possible. I fear the US is going to be a major crash and burn object lesson for history. And it's going to happen fairly quickly.
