this is good.

Kneeling or standing? My take. As a former US Marine I've been recently asked by someone if it makes me mad that NFL players are kneeling during the national anthem, and here's my answer. People spend the majority of their lives worried about others and also worried about what people think of them. Let me tell you this. It's a complete waste of time people. I joined the military because I wanted to be a part of something that was much bigger than a small town iowa boy. So I did it for me and no one else. And the sacrifices I made were all from what I wanted to do, not to please you the public, or ask for anything in return. I love this country and have incredible admiration of our US flag, and all that it stands for. But I've got much better things to do in my life than worry about what NFL players are doing. If you've served great, if you haven't that's great too. I have respect for you either way. I suggest that you go out and do something good for your community or country and stop worrying about everyone else's so called issues. So my answer is: I could really care less! My future isn't about trying to make you more like me, it's about trying to make a better version of myself. I know my moral compass and you do whatever you want and I will do the same thank you. Our country is truly filled with a bunch of entitled gossiping morons. And it's up to you to decide if that's what you wanna be. Semper Fi, that is all.
