I'm following roughly 2500 people - mix of media, friends, garden friends, sports, politicians, pundits. Over 95 percent of the tweets are direct attacks on trump and his minions. All day, every day. Does he thrive on this, I wonder?
We watched episode 8 of Vietnam tonight (incredibly difficult once more - covered Me Lai and Kent State among many other topics) - the dates were 1969/1970 - it struck me that I was only 13/14 years old - only vaguely aware of what was going on.
The huge street filling marches and protests - the huge campus stoppages - and it struck me that (this is how it is related to my twitter feed observations and the orange shitstain's latest unspeakable acts) I can't imagine huge, multimillion people marches and protests across the country against this administration occurring ( though I think it would be very effective) similar to what was happening in the country in the Vietnam timeframe I mentioned above - but in another sense, we may be heading for that if things continue to spiral downward.

The thing that was mentioned in Time was that the protests, lies by presidents (all of them during the war) etc. could have been used by Burns and Novick to compare the current atmosphere with the one during the war. However, and fortunately, they began making the series 10 years ago and did not use it with a specific political agenda in mind. This is good since it can be viewed in its own right as it should be. Now it can be compared and contrasted more objectively with today's issues, and there are many.
