2020 is going to be the year Democrats regain control of the US Senate.

2018-Democrats have to defend 6 seats from red states-IN,MO,MT,ND,OH,and WV and 4 seats from purple states-FL,MI,PA,and WI. Democrats will lose IN and MO and pick up AZ and NV. 48D 52R
2020-There is no Democratic held US Senate seat from a red state up in 2020. The 2020 Democratic Presidential nominee will win MI,NH,and MN-helping re-elect Peters-MI,Shaheen-NH,and Franken-MN. Democrats will pick up AZ Special,CO,ME-if Collins-R loses in the Republican primary or retires, and NC. 52D 48R.

as many Senate seats we can in 2018. We need to run the Dem campaigns against Repugs and not just focus on Trump. He's not running. The Repugs will have done enough damage to this country by 2018 that we should gain considerable ground.

TN-James Mackler-D an attorney and military veteran is the likely Democratic nominee. Republicans will nominate the most conservative candidate.
UT-Evan McMullin-I runs splitting the Republican vote helping the likely Democratic nominee narrowly win.

We don't have all these FOUR YEARS segments to play with. And believe me... WI is no longer purple.

I live in state next to Texas, and it is even redder now. We are even bluer.

Im thinking of moving to Colorado, the blue part.

We have become Kansas. Elected Scott Walker easily three times, and he will have zero trouble getting a fourth term. Re-elected Ron Johnson over Russ Feingold. Tammy Baldwin is likely toast.

The Democrats are more likely to win a statewide election in, say, Arizona than in Wisconsin.

Although you are probably correct, I still find the thought of waiting three years unbearable. I want Mueller to work his magic in the Senate, too, and demonstrate how horrible the GOP really is.

not running on impeaching Trump. Don't even mention Orange Foolius. As terrible as he is, the whole Russia thing is an issue that only policy wonks care about. For better or worse. And TBH, unless some concrete proof is dug up. I don't think the average person is going to care.

Most people are concerned where their next meal is coming from, why their child's school roof is about to fall on them, etc. When indy voters hear Dem leaders on TV talking about how they'll impeach Trump because of Russia, they see a bunch of butthurt sore losers.

Like the birthers.

Our biggest flaw is that Dems run on not being Republican. We give our opponents the face time in the ads, we air their speeches, and then we bury the list of things we'll do on a PDF on some website. Which wouldn't be so much of a problem except that a huge chunk of rural America is still on dial-up. If they have net access at all.
