5. Thoughts and prayers are all they have to offer. For some of us , it is enough.

But many of us know they sold their souls to the NRA years ago, so naturally, they can't say anything that suggests that MAYBE we have a problem with guns in this country. The data does not lie. No other country in the developed world comes close to the guns or deaths by guns that we have. But they insist that our gun rights trump everything, including our common sense. Pence and all the politicians who have taken NRA money and bow to their orders will have to answer for their unwillingness to do something to try to stop the carnage. They owe it for every drop of blood that has been shed on their watch.

6. Thoughts and prayers from THE RIGHT PEOPLE are often enough for me.

We kind of struggle by here...I am self-employed as a Web Designer in a small town where people either dislike paying the going rate or have convinced themselves that a garbage Website, or no Website at all, is good enough for them.

We have a number of friends who also manage to squeak by from month-to-month, and have helped us financially in the past at times where we truly know they were giving until it hurt. We do the same for them, and others.

So if we're at the bottom looking up and one of our friends tell us they are praying for us, we take it as a sincere expression of their doing what they can do. If they could do more, they would. They can't, and we tend to fight our own battles to the best of our ability. Sometimes we get by with a little help from our friends. Other times, it's the two of us against the world. But the prayers and encouragement of our friends is like nitro fuel in the tank of a race car.

Pence is one of those people who tweets his prayers and love because he thinks something is expected of him, and that should fill the bill.

It doesn't.
