Las Vegas has to decide whether it wants to attract families

and "regular people" who just want to be entertained, or to be a place for guns enthusiasts.

Like many, I wondered how he managed to get so many guns through the hotel and to his room and my spouse commented that they have many gun shows there, so carrying all that guns would not be questioned. Would it?

So then I suggested that the hotels can set aside rooms for people to look their guns. Oh, no, spouse commented, people registering their guns? In a hotel? They will never go for it.

OK, so build lockers where everyone can lock his gun in private..

Perhaps, if tourism will decrease, someone will have the guts to set priorities. I am not holding my breath, though.

The SHOT Show is still on, as is a hunter’s convention the week after that. I doubt the casinos will risk pissing attendees off by demanding they check their guns when they check into their rooms.

Nobody pays attention if you have 8 or 13 clubs- and you can put 3-4 rifles that won't show over the edge on each trip

This sounds more strange. Why did he wait until Sunday night when there should have been more people the first two nights. Did something set him off?

Not a darn thing...and hotel guests are not going to put up being inconvenienced either...
Las Vegas has always been geared to adults anyway...It's not Disney..

He no doubt would have referred to them if questioned. Either would have said he wanted to sell them or that he was a dealer.

But I heard he said something about the shooting being the price of freedom. In a way that is a point, but how many people want to go out for a night of fun only to have someone fire on them with a high capacity rifle?

The hotels are not going to put in those kind of security measures when state law doesn’t call for them.

We lived in Vegas from 2003-05. Never saw so many pickup trucks, and never saw so many gun racks on pickup trucks. The gun culture is very heavy in Vegas.

But I hardly ever see gun racks here. I see more Lamborghinis than gun racks by far.

There was a short period where they tried to be family friendly and it failed miserably.

The point I am trying to make is Las Vegas already decided and family friendly did not win.
