AINSLEY EARHARDT (CO-HOST): You know, Steve and Brian, what's interesting, our last guest, the forensic psychiatrist said, "When you have someone who's young that does something like this, they do it for notoriety; when you have someone who is older, they do it for a cause." And maybe this guy heard that song, God Bless America. His brother said he didn't believe in God or didn't have a God or didn't have faith in his life so maybe this is all speculation but that possibly could be the reason because he knows country musicians or country music fans are normally pro-God and go to church on Sundays. Maybe he has a problem with that or had a problem with that.

Yah, because strong belief in God sure has historically proved that people don't kill other people for their beliefs in God.

Shooter had no religious affiliation at all.
Funny how trump has made vile comments they even bring up religion on that network.

This is what all these gun people don't want to hear, so they make up a lot of shit.

(14,861 posts)That was Ainsley Earhardt "speculating" about his motivations. Ainsley knows her crowd, that's for sure. The audience will eat that shit up - the idea that he shot at those people because he wanted to kill Christians. They love to feel persecuted.

(3,208 posts)I can't stand listening to the Fox people.
But that is pretty bad stuff for someone who is supposed to be on a "news" station. They should be classified as an opinion channel, not news.

(14,861 posts)They're all in it for the same reason, to make money. To do this they give the audience what they want. Fox's particular audience would rather hear Ainsley's speculation than actual facts, and that's what she gives them. If Fox ever started reporting facts, they'd be out of business in no time. Their viewers would turn them right off and go off in search of some other outlet to tell them exactly what they want to hear.

(3,208 posts)Once they start veering from just reporting facts or asking questions, they lost me.
I wish we could go back to that fairness in communications thing that Reagan destroyed. When it's all about the money, it's all about the sponsors and not about what people need to learn.

(82,849 posts)A song written by an immigrant Jew? That's Fox's measure now for true Americanness?
