Sen. Thune blames shooting victims for failing to 'take precautions' and 'get small' to avoid

Sen. John Thune blames shooting victims for failing to ‘take precautions’ and ‘get small’ to avoid gunfire
David Edwards 03 OCT 2017 AT 13:38 ET

Sen. John Thune (R-SD) on Tuesday responded to calls for increased gun control after the massacre in Las Vegas by telling reporters that shooting victims had a responsibility to protect themselves from gunfire.

But Thune shied away from the topic of gun control, arguing, “t’s an open society and it’s hard to prevent anything.”

Instead, the Republican senator offered advice to potential victims.

“I think people are going to have to take steps in their own lives to take precautions,” he opined. “To protect themselves. And in situations like that, you know, try to stay safe. As somebody said — get small.”

And if she can't get out of the way, she's got her magic bracelets.

Gun fetishists really do believe television and movie fictions about guns. The average war or cop gun drama really isn't any different than the Wonder Woman fantasy.

My own experiences with gun violence are bangity-bangity-bang, Once the guns come out everything is fubar and random.

I think there's something seriously wrong with anyone who has their own arsenal, and I don't even trust anyone who owns a gun for "self defense," not even cops.

The trouble with the NRA is that the only customers for guns already own them. The only way the gun industry can sell more guns is to fan the disgusting fantasies of those who already own them.

Getting the fu** out of there as quickly as possible would be the only option for survival.

Doesn't matter how small you might have gotten yourself in that situation, you're still in the kill zone and "getting small" only reduces your chance of getting hit by maybe 5% difference from standing upright in place.

If you "get down", even more of critical areas your body mass is available to hit by bullets raining down from 32 stories up. You might protect your head, but your body mass is exposed in a crouch or a curl.

So that must mean they are ending the war on drugs immediately, since in an open society you can't prevent people from using drugs.

And, by that twisted logic, laws are of no use since everyone will just do what they want.

Tue Oct 3, 2017, 02:39 PM
Oct 2017

Senator, what's it like to live in a moral vacuum?

What's it like to have a piece of dried-up dog shit where your heart should be, and liquid pig shit sloshing around inside your skull?

When you suck off the NRA, do you spit or swallow?

Do you huff paint fumes every day, or is it a pastime you reserve for weekends?

Is there anything you can't be induced to do or say, provided enough money changes hands?

Any thoughts and prayers to offer today, or are you fresh out?

Since you've never served in the military in any capacity, have you had other opportunities to test your ability to "get small" and "protect yourself" while under automatic rifle fire?

Would you be willing to improve Americans' quality of life by walking off a tall building?

How do you "get small" when you have no idea where the shots are coming from? Plus the place was sealed off to keep out gate crashers so there was no way out, at least at the beginning. Thune is at least as dumb as Trump - and that is saying a lot.
