the only thing that matters to Trump is reelection in 2020. We are in the middle of a campaign, and everything he does, says and tweets is about his brand and his candidacy again.

Nothing else matters to him.

He wants that eight years - because all "great" and "revered" presidents who lived long enough got eight years.

9. Heard early this morning that Las Vegas was added to today's schedule,

but now he won't get there until tomorrow. Still, not a surprise. The murders in Las Vegas were a tremendously valuable distraction from the plight of Americans in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands for the Republican leadership. They couldn't foresee it and made the horrible mistake of scheduling a visit to PR, but this murderous gift from what they probably considered the god on their side provided an excuse to hotfoot attention away from Puerto Rico and shift the big spotlight on Las Vegas's unneedy dead instead.

If supernatural forces were involved, it'd have to be Satan, of course, but in any case both news media and social, including DU, switched virtually all attention to Las Vegas as if...a switch had been switched. The day before yesterday someone who was probably vrtually dehydrating from all the virtual tears dripped all over DU actually called me evil (!) for not iconizing San Juan's mayor. The next day? Trump wins, big.
