I don't believe Tillerson will leave unless Russia tells him to and Trump won't fire him unless

he is told to do so by Putin. That is becoming clear to me.

Most people, especially a guy like Tillerson, who was accustomed to the power of being the big kahuna in a huge multinational corporation, wouldn't put up with the almost daily humiliation SCROTUS dishes out. But he must think the ultimate reward of a big payoff from an oil deal with Russia must worth the sellout. So, since Trump knows he won't quit, he humiliates him just because he enjoys humiliating people. And Tillerson evidently is willing to eat Trump's shit sandwiches.
