Ari Melber is reporting that Facebook, Google and Twitter embedded their employees,

those who were Republicans and loyal to Trump, within his campaign to assist them with maximizing their impact on social networks.

His name was Parscale. There is a Brad Parscale who was Trump's campaign digital director.

paid millions and millions of dollars for his trouble -

edit: Business insider, June 3:

Parscale's firm, Giles-Parscale, was paid a whopping $91 million by the Trump campaign, which famously shunned television ads. According to CNN, the data operation "helped the Trump campaign figure out where the candidate's message was resonating in states like Michigan and Wisconsin, places where conventional political wisdom suggested they would be wasting time and money."

Like you said, months ago, I seem to remember he had already been questioned by some entity.

I don't think this will end well for him.

Neither he nor his guests pointed out some crucial aspects of the embed. For one thing, it is thought that an American likely gave a hand in targeting voters. Also, no one mentioned Jared or Cambridge Analytica's involvement. And, after seeing him a number of times Ken D. seems to have a tendency to downplay possible collusion and Trump campaign involvement. The MSNBC digital expert wasn't very good. But the former DA who was also on is always good at pinpointing.

That's how advertising is supposed to work. No question that FB was in trumpft's corner. Campaigns hire ad agencies all the time - what makes this different? Is it that FB is more of a media company, making it like hiring a network (CBS for example)?
