It’s already high, this should make it stratospheric.

You know what causes risky sexual behavior among teens? Being a teen.

Birth control, along with solid sex education, is what lessens those risks.

I feel so strongly about this that I teach sex education on a volunteer basis. As an introverted middle aged guy, it isn't an easy thing for me to do. But dammit, somebody needs to.

Simply don't want to have 15 kids with their HUSBAND. Somehow that fact always escapes them.

8. There is also a significant portion who need it for medical issues.

Birth control pills are used to treat menstrual cramps, polycystic ovarian disease, endometriosis, and a wide spate of other problems.

I can only hope that I'll live to see single-payer health care, so that we no longer have to deal with this kind of bullshit. What a fucked-up country this is.

They'll just claim that the women and their doctors are lying about these conditions in order to get "free contraceptives."

Mom's or Dad's employer's health insurance is required to cover contraceptives. Uh huh. Okie dokie. Like they really give a shit. Their parents' insurance dealings are not even on their radar.

This is the same idiotic argument they use for not giving tweens the human papillomavirus vaccination. I don't know about the rest of y'all, but when it came time for childhood vaccinations, I never questioned what they were for. My mom took me to the doctor, I got whatever shots, and went home. I doubt it's any different with kids now.

11. Each child birth, above the norm, adds upwards of $300K to local and state taxes resident pay.

.

Texas tried this shit under Perry a few years back and found that over 10,000 extra births resulted from cutting abortion and birth control services back a bit. He quickly reinstated them. Why?

If there are just 10,000 extra births each and every year, by the time the first group of children become emancipated, there will be the 17 x 10,000 children added to the system. That is 170,000 more in the state by the time all is said and done. School averages $16,500 for education & busing per student per year, which mostly comes out of local taxes.

This simple matrix, based on current costs, which is done only to illustrate the costs will explain it:

Note: The following does not include the unknown birthing, medical, housing, food, childcare expenditures.

1st year: 10,000 kids
2nd year: 20,000 kids
3rd year: 30,000 kids
4th year: 40,000 kids...upwards of 10,000 in preschool at a cost of around $4-5,000 each or $45 Million.
5th year: 50,000 kids...upwards of 20,000 in preschool at a cost of around $4-5,000 each or $90 Million.
............ From this point on, there will be $90 Million added to each year as there will be 2 years of preschool.
6th year: 60,000 kids... ($90M) + 10,000 in 1st Grade, $16,500 each child. $165,000,000 = $255Million.
7th year: 70,000 kids... ($90M) + 20,000 in 1-2 Grade, $16,500 each child. $330,000,000 = $420Million.
8th year: 80,000 kids... ($90M) + 30,000 in 1-3 Grade, $16,500 each child. $465,000,000 = $555Million.
9th year: 90,000 kids... ($90M) + 40,000 in 1-4 Grade, $16,500 each child. $660,000,000 = $750Million.
10th year: 100,000 kids... ($90M) + 50,000 in 1-5 Grade, $16,500 each child. $825,000,000 = $915Million.
11th year: 110,000 kids... ($90M) + 60,000 in 1-6 Grade, $16,500 each child. $990,000,000 = $1,080,000,000.
12th year: 120,000 kids... ($90M) + 70,000 in 1-7 Grade, $16,500 each child. $1,155,000,000 = $1,245,000,000.
13th year: 130,000 kids... ($90M) + 70,000 in 1-8 Grade, $16,500 each child. $1,320,000,000 = $1,410,000,000.
14th year: 140,000 kids... ($90M) + 70,000 in 1-9 Grade, $16,500 each child. $1,485,000,000 = $1,575,000,000.
15th year: 150,000 kids... ($90M) + 70,000 in 1-10 Grade, $16,500 each child. $1,650,000,000 = $1,740,000,000.
16th year: 160,000 kids... ($90M) + 70,000 in 1-11 Grade, $16,500 each child. $1,815,000,000 = $1,905,000,000.
17th year: 170,000 kids... ($90M) + 70,000 in 1-12 Grade, $16,500 each child. $1,980,000,000 = $2,070,000,000.

Just a steady 10,000 births a year increases state and local taxes by $2 Billion each year, by the 17th year!

Note: This does not include the loss of productivity for the households.

The cost per child, just for education is over $200K. (12 years x $16,500 = $198,000. Preschool of $9,000 for two years.)

Factor in COLA, medical and supplemental services, and this number starts to reach the high $200K range.
