Twitter Blocks Marsha Blackburn Senate Campaign Video Over Anti-Abortion Remarks

Twitter reportedly blocked a video from Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) today because it contained an “inflammatory statement” about her pro-life stance.

The congresswoman tried to post an announcement from her senate campaign, though it was reportedly blocked because of a comment she made about how she has “stopped the sale of baby body parts.” This was part of a broader statement about Blackburn’s opposition to Planned Parenthood, abortion, and the sale of fetal tissue for medical research.

According to Associated Press, a Twitter representative told Blackburn’s campaign her video would be blocked on their platform because its “likely to evoke a strong negative reaction.” The spokesman said the video would be allowed to run if the abortion statement was omitted.

Even though Blackburn can’t pay to promote the video on Twitter, it can still be linked to from YouTube and other sources. Blackburn has already re-posted her video while urging her followers to send a message to Silicon Valley.

First off you're right, she is the worst of the worst! She betrays her gender at the drop of a hat, all because she wants to play in the same sandbox as the boys in her party!

As long as she and other Republican women are useful, the boys club will let them sit at the children's table, and even allow them to introduce legislation that will make things even worse for American women...as long as Blackburn and the other female Republicans, remember that their place is where the boys tell them it is!!!

And Lisa Murkowski gave a finger to the good ole boys.
We can only hope the system is changing.

For example, if I were to say that Rep. Blackburn regularly enjoys sexual congress with barnyard animals, I would fully expect to hear yelps of outrage and indignation for making that baseless statement. I have no direct evidence that Rep. Blackburn regularly enjoys sexual congress with barnyard animals, and to say that she does would evoke a strong negative reaction.

For all I know, she may not enjoy it at all, but a paycheck is a paycheck.
