Alabama GOP Senate hopeful Roy Moore calls son’s ninth arrest a ‘cheap political trick’

Former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore, who won a hotly-contested Republican Senate primary against incumbent Sen. Luther Strange (R-AL) last month, is calling his son Caleb’s ninth arrest a “cheap political trick.”

According to AL.com, Caleb Moore was charged with third-degree criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor related to another misdemeanor charge from November 2016 for hunting without a permit.

In a statement, Judge Moore’s campaign chairman Bill Armistead said the “personal matter” is a “cheap political trick to detract from the real issues facing our country.”

That was my first thought too. The ninth arrest is a political trick, but the other 8 were just coincidence? No, the kid is trouble and the 9th arrest means he hasn't learned a thing yet.

7. 9th arrest yet he gets pre-trial diversion means a lot of fixed cases

This story is very interesting. The charge was dismissed based on his entry into a pre-trial diversion program. Anyone who knows anything about pre-trial diversion programs knows they are for first offenders.

So that would mean the first 8 arrests (not counting any motor vehicle charges) did not result in convictions. What's the odds that someone gets arrested 8 times with no convictions? Slim? Probably none.

So those 8 arrests. How many were fixed based on Daddy being a Supreme Court Justice? Someone should be checking that out.
