1: Trump’s ACA sabotage is timed to depress enrollment. We can fight back by spreading key information.



2: Open enrollment is Nov. 1 to Dec. 15 in most states. These states have longer periods:

4: For most people, Trump’s sabotage will not affect the premiums they pay. That’s because tax credits go up with premiums.

5: About 85% of enrollees get tax credits. They will pay only about $100/month on average.

6: If you qualify for cost-sharing reductions that lower your deductible/copay, you’ll still get them. Insurers just won’t be paid for them.

7: Most states have dealt with Trump’s default on these payments by increasing premiums for silver plans only.

8: Tax credits are linked to the cost of silver plans. You can take this bigger tax credit and use it to buy gold plans.

9: Normally gold plans cost more because they have lower deductibles, but now they may be a better deal.

10: People who don’t get tax credits should see if gold plans are cheaper than silver plans, or check out silver plans off exchange.

11: In each case, the message is the same: SHOP AROUND. This year it's more critical than ever due to Trump's sabotage.
