Then he wanted to deny him of his domestic accomplishments.

Then he wanted to deny him of his foreign policy accomplishments.

Now he wants to deny him of the fact that he performed some of the most basic yet solemn ceremonial duties of commander in chief, in consoling the loved ones of fallen service persons.
