Never in the history of the USA would you see a headline like this.

"Never" as in the absolute meaning of the word.

Now this is the new normal. And nobody even blinks at this new normal

Everyday a new outrage, until the idea that ICE wants to build private prisons in major US cities is just part of the new normal

The daily outrages grow, fester and occur one after the other in order to soften the atrocities.

A former open-pit mining operation that took place from 1957 until 2001. Popularly known as the “Mirny Mine,” the site produced 10 million carats of diamonds annually during its peak years of operations. Now closed, the mine is still the largest excavated hole in the world—stretching 1,200 meters in diameter and reaching depths of 525 meters.
