TRUTHBOMB ON CNN: "He's been a liar his entire life! He's a BS artist!"

Last edited Tue Oct 17, 2017, 06:36 PM - Edit history (1)

Anderson Cooper 360° ✔
Ryan Lizza on Trump claiming Obama didn’t contact families of fallen troops: "Why does the (President) lie so much?"

...........the real hero of the clip is Tara Setmayer, who comes in at the 1:40 mark and drops the following truth bomb about why Trump is such a lying piece of shit (transcribed below the clip for those who can’t / don’t want to watch the video):

SETMAYER: Because he’s done this his entire career and never been held accountable for it. Now he’s in front of the entire world, where he has people who will actually hold him accountable for the things he says, and he does not know how to process that, because its not in his character to do so. He’s been a liar his entire life! He’s a BS artist! And when he gets backed into a corner, then his default is to lie, make something up, deflect and divert, and when people call him on it, he says “fake news.”

He lies about everything, he never tells the truth and we can prove that.

But

It doesnt matter, he only needs the 30% of the population who votes at a rate of 80% thus making them half the country.

He has no critical thinking node in his brain, so any bullshit lie that gets him out of a jam (like a tough question from a reporter) must be the truth. Because he's never been held accountable and he's hardly ever challenged.

But in his own mind, he convinces himself that it really is the truth. The man has no shame.

His supporters think that WE'RE the liars.

Most of them have had an entire lifetime of conditioning in which they're made to feel good when they stare a fact in the eye and deny that it's a fact.

They call that denial faith.

The places where they're taught that are called churches.

After all, look who Trump's supporters are!

So one of two things can happen
1) His lie works and he gets away with it
or 2) Nothing more is said about it.

Which brings us to a question:
Why on Earth shouldn't he lie?

I've been saying this for almost a year.

Lying is his technique. He knows that with both houses of congress, the institutions of this democracy have no way to hold him accountable for any lie he tells. Maybe the courts, after a while, but he has lawyers to delay any suit for years.

The mainstream press is crippled by their objectivity. The RW press is actively aiding his lies. His voters know he's lying, but Stigginit makes it all hilarious to them.

Trump learned this lesson from Putin: once you have Power, you are beyond accountability. Gaslight away. You don't even need your lies to be plausible. Classic Bullying: "oh yeah? what are you gonna do about it? Nothing. That's what I thought."

2020 is going to be ugly AF.

I spent 16 some odd years in the NY media market. I remember a lot more exposure of The Donald for his warts and being the butt of many jokes. Most everyone on a jobsite was reading the tabloid rag at lunch. There was always some salacious coverage of that tool for one thing or another.

I don't think that anyone missed that he was a thin-skinned, vindictive, self centered asshole.

Why FFS did no major media outlet during any part of the primary or general election not really expose what was already known? Of course this is a question who's answer is obvious. It's all about the Benjamin's.

The Guardian in the UK tracked all his lies during the campaign and in fact published an article every week called "The lies Trump told this week" listing the lies and showed proof that the statements were either a lie or serious deception.

Here's an example: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/oct/07/donald-trump-lies-this-week-taxes-bankruptcy

If you type the words "Trump lies" in their search window, you can still read all of them.

I think US outlets were 1.) afraid of him and his bank of lawyers, and 2.) wanted to use the sensationalism from covering him to gain ratings, and/or 3.) the media owners were Republican. It was just a game to them.

It started there. They weren't ready for a candidate like him and didn't know how to handle him. The media entirely lay down and enjoyed the ratings. By the time he got to Hillary, he was really rolling. Predictably, Hillary did handle him quite well, but it was too late. Nobody cared and his deplorables thought he was great. By now Trump actually THINKS he won the debates. He performed miserably, but it didn't matter; he might as well have won. He lost the popular vote by a margin that wasn't even close (as in 2000). He played his "base" in just the right way, so it didn't matter. His base happened to live in the right areas, and the curious way he "squeeked by" in usually blue states, is perplexing and suspicious.

His parents sent him away to a military style school, probably in hopes they could “instill discipline” in him. Maybe drive out the lying. But they never got down to the nitty gritty of the whole matter. Or that we know of. tRump is seriously messed up with personality flaws out the wazoo. They could have applied a lot of psychological therapy to him and it probably would not have helped much. Nearly everything you read about his issues (narcissism, lack of empathy, bullying, etc) says that it is nearly impossible to fix these defects. I suppose you might make the person aware of these flaws but changing their behavior might be a different matter.

tRump should have never gotten to where he is now. But with the aid of the Republicans who endorsed him and brought his campaign along, plus a ton of cheating he did with the Russians, we find ourselves with the biggest Presidential crisis since Watergate. But with Watergate, once Nixon had it explained to him that he was finished as president, he had the sense to know he had to resign or face impeachment. It was that simple. That won’t happen with tRump. They will have to remove him (probably kicking and screaming and threatening to sue someone) before we are able to restore some sense of normalcy to the White House.

I think since there was so much dishonesty with the last election, Pence needs to go, the Cabinet, etc. The whole bunch of them. But then the Founding Fathers probably never imagined anyone quite like tRump actually being inaugurated, so we will be in uncharted territory if that happens.

Basically what Fareed said several months ago.

The more you lie, the more you are paranoid about media. Natural relationship. Trump's unwarranted prop is that he's got a huge segment of the new media willing to lie on his behalf. Then the dummies grasp the lie as the truth.
