Need some good Karma.

My husband has submitted 5 federal grants in the past month on his biomedical research. The funding is vital to the continuation of this research. That includes the funding of his 6 graduate students and 4 undergraduates. Damn these Republican asshats and their hatred of smart people and science. I won't name the disease because that might out my husband, but it is important and people die every day from it. NIH had gotten to the point where they won't take any chances in their funding decisions. If it is not a "reality" it doesn't get funded. You don't find cures to serious diseases doing that.

When Okies find out he is a researcher, they say, oh he is wasting our money studying cow flatulence. Then I ask them if anyone in their families suffer from ..... and they say why yes why, well he thinks he might have a cure but needs some money to find out for sure.

Republicans are truly ignorant.

I worked in Radiation Therapy for many years. No research means no possible cures. (dumbass is understood to be there at the end of the sentence).
